WMS Somerset BBQ

Hot on the heels of the fantastically supported WMS Cornwall and North Devon Friday afternoon BBQ's it was Somerset's turn to fire up the grill and cook up something extra special for the guys, and boy did our very own 3 Michelin stars chef Richard Cole deliver the goods!

Taking on the role a little too seriously, Richard's finely prepared bangers and burgers were the order of the day and were washed down with a few beers to wet the whistle!

Talking of "bangers" when the BBQ finally drew to a close the team made their way in to town with Aiden losing the bet and wearing the mascara (see pic - don't ask!)

Well done Richard, Chris, Jane and and all the team for yet another great event, WMS = Winning together!

Bentley bags WMS Jug Of Sweets at North Devon Homes Summer Fayre!

Nine-year-old Bentley was proud as punch having taken home a full jug full of 217 packets of sweets at this year's North Devon Homes Summer Fayre!

Guessing the number correctly Bentley faced stiff competition with over 100 entries in the draw on the WMS stand.

WMS Contracts Manager Matt Kempster said " this competition is taken very seriously every year and continues get more popular, I've always wanted to enter myself!"

Unlucky Matt but well-done Bentley who on accepting the prize said his Mom was having first choice!

Pictured here with her brother Marley, Paisley visited our WMS stand and correctly chose “Gary” as the name, but don’t tell her Dad Gary mind as he may get a little teasy! ;)

Well done Paisley!

We have proudly supported this event for as long as we can remember and have seen it grow year on year, which is testament to the time and effort Martyn and his team put in to delivering such a fantastic and popular community based initiative that is so obviously well received by their customers.

Games, exhibitions, competitions, bouncy castles, face painting, music, line dancing, complimentary lunch, refreshments and supplier stalls are just part of the fun, add to the mix 27 degrees heat and sunshine and you're on to a winner!

Social value is definitively up front and centre for the organisational team, they left no stone unturned in delivering yet another brilliant day with hundreds of customers taking time out to enjoy this outstanding event.

Help for the homeless

Received by wms on 31/01/24

"Good Morning

Steve, your incredibly generous gesture is touching, and we are truly grateful.

To put it in context, £200 translates to 100 BillyChips, which means they can provide an equivalent number of meals to support the homeless community's survival. While to some, £200 might be a simple meal out with a partner, to this cause, it represents 100 meals and a day that someone on our streets goes without hunger.

It's perhaps even more impactful than you initially realised.

Very much appreciated
Best Regards
Dan Macey
Director"
