WMS and CG Clean Down support The Big Jubilee Lunch!

WMS were thrilled when receiving a call for help from Anna Jay representing Crantock Street Community Garden and their Big Jubilee Lunch last week!

Crantock Street Community Garden (formerly a car park!) has been reclaimed by the community and has been host to numerous community events following its refurbishment!

WMS, and in no small part their sub contractor CG Clean Down, carried out some minor titillation in readiness for the Big Jubilee Lunch over the weekend.

What a fantastic cause to support and I'm sure you'll see from the pics what a great event!

North Devon Homes Summer Fayre

WMS Name The Teddy Competition

WMS were honoured to accept the invite to this year’s North Devon Homes Summer Fayre held at Barnstaple Rugby Football Club.

A great day out for all, the Summer Fayre attracts a large amount of families with activities, refreshments and supplier displays on hand. 

WMS have supported this event for many years and it’s always well received! 

The weather was stunning and another great day was had by all…….roll on next year!

When the North Devon Representative for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) approached WMS to sponsor the Charity Fight Night at The Big Sheep in Bideford WMS were only too pleased to help.

WMS are proud to sponsor the supply of the Kidsafe pack to our local school children. The Kidsafe pack provides invaluable information to children across a wide range of ages – alerting them to dangers that they may encounter in their day to day lives (Stranger Danger, road safety, racism, etc.) all in a fun and informative way – and can be used in PHSE lessons

JOINED FORCES!!! WMS AND EX SERVICEMAN IN COMMUNITY GROUP RECYLCING INITIATIVE!

A chance encounter some 18 months ago between ex-serviceman Dominic Hallgate and WMS Office administrator Natasha Orchard has reaped rewards! Dominic volunteers his practical property maintenance and refurbishment skills to maintain the community building known as the Elms in Redruth on behalf of Cornwall Neighbourhoods For Change (CN4C), a charity working across Cornwall with communities, groups and individuals to achieve the change they want in their lives.

Dominic uses left over materials donated by WMS for his activities and with the blessing of our suppliers has successfully carried out a number of refurbishment activities included fitting and rehanging doors, fitting tailor made cupboards and units and installing kitchens etc.

Dominic’s contribution is even more extraordinary when you consider he was medically discharged from the Army after an injury suffered whilst on active service and volunteering whilst homeless up until a few weeks ago. WMS are proud of their association with CN4C and Dominic in particular and hope to be supporting them and their sterling work for many years to come!
